Here's the link. The exact quote is in the magazine I assume, breaking down how to beat Jon Jones.

Here's all I gotta say:

Shut the **** up Tito.

What are your thoughts on Prime Ortiz vs Jones right now? How many seconds would you set the over/under at?

@CashBrewyn I quote, "An injury free Tito Ortiz is very, very dangerous, and Ryan Bader was the last guy who got a close up of that one" along with this gem; "When I look back at my loss to (Randy) Couture, that’s when I had my first back problem. I was suffering right through that fight camp, and I suffered for seven years with that back problem."

I think he had a fractured skull too (bahaha couldn't hold it in while typing that one).

Tito was a very bad dude back when he was champ. He would have given Jones a very good fight but would have lost I'm pretty sure.

It seems Tito doesnt get the respect he deserves for being such a force in his prime but he would've been finished in minutes

Prime Tito vs. current Jones... Jones via R2 TKO (elbows) or tapout to elbows. Unless he's in a hurry to take his new Bentley for a joyride, then the same in R1.

I think it would look a lot like this:

AS much as I hate thinking about this fight. But you know Belfort vs Wanderlei 1?

'cause Mario Yamasaki (being the awful ref that he is) thinks about stepping in, waits, backs up a bit, hesitates and then steps in and puts both hands on both fighters. The Commission dude was sleeping or some ****, so someone had to smack the **** outta him and make him stop the timer which is why this fight's officially 4 minutes 20 seconds long.

Sure, Tito was good in his prime.  But its easy to kid yourself.  Tito in his prime agaisnt Jones wouldn't have survived the first round.  Tito's rep got very over-rated due to Ken Shamrock having deteriorated to nothing.  Shamrock made Ortiz look much better than he was.

Sure, Ortiz beat Wanderlei, Tanner and Belfort, but lost to Frank Shamrock.  Tito was NEVER on the level of Jones.  Not in his wildest wet dream.  He couldn't carry Jones' jock strap.

Alright bill I think everyone gets your point. At the end of the day Tito Ortiz is a UFC hall of famer and has more 205 title defenses then anyone ever. It's also fair to argue that Jones would be working at a gas station in Rochester if it had not been Tito paving the way for guys like Jon Jones. He probably wouldn't have beat Jones but neither would Liddell or Coutore in their primes. And I'm a HUGE Coutore fan. Jones is just that special.

Prime Tito would still get taken down and elbowed into bolivian. Sorry, Tito.

Why do you think Jones would win so quickly? ITS PRIME TITO.. Jones would win but when has he ever finished anyone in seconds? it takes him at least a round usually... Took him 2 minutes to beat Matyushenko and prime Tito is a hell of a lot better than Matyushenko.. Get your heads out the gutter.

@Thiago
I was completely exaggerating.I do think Jones would wreck him.I think Jones this early into his career already (based off of win/loss and quality of wins) surpassed Tito in terms of accomplishment. If you look at how easily Jon has wrecked this level of competition I can't see Tito leaving a scratch on Jon.

Tito's had a secret lobotomy or something. That guy says anything to stay in the limelight.
