I love how this guy is willing to fight so soon again, and at 155.

I don't think he thinks about that stuff ... he's Irish, which means he's a complete nutter :)

I think that as long as he's healthy and ready he'll fight as much as he can ...

Plus, Iaquinta doesn't have anything for him ... too slow and predictable to pose much of a threat for Conor. It'll be easy money if he lands the fight.

He didnt really take any damage against Brimage so it makes sense for him to try and have another bout soon as possible

I thought pretty highly of Iaquinta and thought he was going to beat Chiesa in their TUF finale. Mainly because of his Serra-Longo gym, but if this fight goes down I'm riding the McG hype train all the way.

WAR McG ... already one of my favorite fighters. I think he should stay at 145 for a title run, but taking a few one-offs at 155 is fine.

i was so ******* impressed by McGregor at his debut and this is just icing on the cake.  ive only seen him fight once but hes definitely one of my favorite fighters and this is icing on the cake.  if he gets this fight and wins i see it as the start of another star in the ufc.

I just think that with Conor's speed, footwork and striking vs. Al's slow overhand right (which is more or less his striking), plus the fact that Al is coming off a long layoff, while Conor's sharp as can be this doesn't last long.

Plus, with all due respect to the Serra-Longo gym, I don't think they've turned Iaquinta into Demian Maia just yet ... Serra's a great coach, but I just don't think Iaquinta is going to be great. If I had to guess, I'd say he doesn't last more than 5 more fights in the UFC, and that's only because he came in via TUF.

Easy win for Conor. I hope he get's the fight.

Not one for conspiracy theories, but someone who is might say that Al was making sure he didn't get Conor :)

I'd be inclined to believe it at this point.  And more importantly, I bet Connor will.

@legacy, yeah, I'm pretty sure it was coincidence too, I just loved that a day after I posted this and wrote that Iaquinta is ****ting himself he gets injured ...

And @PEACE, LOL!! Conor's definitely believing it :))))

Agreed. Looks like coincidence. I wonder if he was ever offered a fight with McGregor. I wouldn't be surprised in Iaquinta had a minor injury, was offered McGregor, and decided if he was going to fight someone of McGregor's caliber, he would want to be 100%

I doubt that would be the case, though.
