Oh wow. Hendricks losing his title shot just got a bit more likely

I think Condit's made more improvements than Hendricks has in the past couple years, and I think Hendricks relying on his KO power is a bad idea in this one. Condit should be able to out-strike Hendricks. If Johny wants to win, he needs to utilize his wrestling and land some power shots between takedowns.

Hendricks needs to use all his skills and not just his striking to have a shot at beating Condit, NBK is unforgiving and never miss a chance to inflict damage or finish an opponent and I think he is superior to Hendricks in all aspects except wrestling. If Hendricks brings  his A game he has a chance, but it's not a big one, he needs to keep Condit guessing with his striking and TD's to have a chance to land his big left. I can't wait for this fight, I think it's the best fight we could get after Rory got injured

So winner of this fight gets the chance to fight GSP?

I don't really want GSP to fight Condit again so soon, but then again, he is already ranked No. 2. Beating the No. 3 would sort of confirm that and I wouldn't argue with a rematch, but I don't think they'll give him one with a win. They'll still try to set up the Rory rematch.

if Condit wins he will probably fight Rory I don't think Rory will be out long

Condit has the tools to win that fight. Condit has the ability to execute his game plan over his opponents. Condit has the reach advantage (7''). Hendricks has the wrestling...(NCAA Division I) and Condit had trouble with wrestlers in his career (GSP, Jake Ellenberger (split Dec), Jake Shields, Pat Healy) I think Hendricks is not fast enough to put Condit on his back. Condit is mentaly prepared to fight Hendricks. He knows that Hendricks will throw that big left hand in the first round. If Hendricks can't find a way to use his big left overhand punch, he's going to try to take Condit down...but Hendricks didn't develop a good way to use his stricking to get a takedown. He is going open up and expose his chin. I think it is going to be the key of the fight. Condit has the experience... Hendricks has the potential to be a champion, but he has to work on the "Transition". It's going to be a "Technical" fight. It might be boring for the "Typical drunk *********" . But anything can Happen...Its MMA.

Funny thing, if Hendricks loses to Condit, he still has a valid argument to get a title shot

Condit shouldn't get a title shot if he wins. Not with all the other competition in the WW division.

Really depends on how Condit were to win. If he totally dominates him I don't think Hendricks will have much of a case. If the Condit that showed up against GSP shows up against Hendricks he will win going away.

If Hendricks does lose, it would suck that he lost his title shot, especially since he was more deserving than Diaz.
