Daniel is the brother of fellow mixed martial artist Jorge Rodrigues and is known as the XFC S2 Bantamweight tournament winner.


After a 1-1 record in Brazilian circuit, Daniel signs with XFC to fight in the bantamweight tournament.


In the quarterfinal match, Daniel fough against undefeated Lerryan Douglas in the XFCi 6, and  won by first round submission in a huge upset.


In the semifinals, he faced Chute Boxe's Julio Rodrigues in the XFCi 9. In another awesome performance, he knocked out Julio in the first round.


In the finals, Daniel faced James Gray Jr. in the main event of XFCi 10. Gray almost finished Daniel with an armbar, but the braziian escaped and knocked James out, becoming the tournament winner.



He is now expected to face Fernando Vieira in the XFCi 14 for the bantamweight title
