Jones has won 10 fights in a row in the ufc including his ass whoppin of hamil against incredible compitition, i can't think of any fighter who has won 10 in a row vs top level fighters like he has. I'd say he is well on his way of surpassing the likes of gsp and silva.

Everyone believed Jones striking was great after the Rampage fight,
but to me it looked really basic and predictable
Machida showed me at least that i was right. Machida won the first round in pretty good fashion with his striking
He beat the crap out of him in the first
i guess exposed was a little bit of an exageration
Im just saying Machida won the round when no one saw it coming.

I think Jones is just like Machida was when he started in the UFC. Everybody thought Machida was invincible because nobody could figure him out...until somebody did and once that happened Machida became just another guy. Jones is going to be the same way. Machida started to show some of Jones' weaknesses now its a matter of time before he's beat.

At a certain point that argument just doesn't work anymore, Ronin.

I don't.

Jones is going to murder everything at LHW, because he can. If he wants to slam people like the Ultimate Warrior, he will. He wasn't exposed by Machida at all, he won in the 2nd round for God's sake. He won't be exposed like Machida because he's much more well-rounded than Machida. If Jones gets stunned by a shot, he will wrestle the opponent and he will take him down.

Jones at HW on the other hand...

@ronin & mybbygotsauz Granted, Machida did look decent in the first round, but I wouldn't say he "beat the crap out of him." I've never said that Jones' was an exceptionally skilled striker. I just think that his reach combined with top-notch wrestling, along with being one of the 10 fastest guys in the division makes him a harder puzzle to solve than Machida. Counter-strikers are that way for a reason. They tend to have good speed, reflexes, and technique, but more often than not are not very good when they are pulled out of their game-plan by fighting someone who is faster than them. Jones has more tools than Machida did. Like I said, I don't like Jones, but he is definitely the best LHW even if he's not the most technically skilled.

From the bell it was all about survival for Machida, he looked the best I've seen agains't Jones, but Jones is always the predator and never looked like he'd lose, and he didn't. I was over the moon for Machida's performance though, love that guy.

@lbj6 thats crazy, i didnt know they scored it for Bones, Machida definitely won that round. And it makes me sick also that they scored it for Bones
yet again@ zarog, exageration "beat the crap out of him".
He won the first round in impressive fashion.
@yaspaa i agree. But i actually did think Jones was going to lose after the first

Jones has skills, hes going to beat a lot of people and might stay undefeated for a long time.  My problem is he acts like a **** and says ridiculous things while claiming to be a humble guy.  Calling yourself (or strongly suggesting it) the clone but younger of the p4p best and possible current goat is extremely ****y, if he was humble he would never have even thought that let alone said or suggested it.

I hope someone beats him and i hope its in brutal fashion and that loss knocks some true humility into him.

It'll happen when he gets to HW. At LHW, no chance.

I think at HW SOMEONE ... (Cain Velasquez) will knock Jones out. But at LHW I truly think someone no one expects to beat him will beat him convincingly.

I think Jones would annihilate Cain, but thats my opinion.... Hopefully his chin will hold up against Mir, b/c I want him to lay a beatdown.
