Chins don't last forever. Allen is very dangerous early. Not saying it'll happen but it's not like there 0 chance he'll knock him out

Yeah, I'm scared Max will be chinned soon too, but Allen is most certainly not that guy. You're not that guy fella, trust me. You're not that guy. He has pillow fists and relies purely on swarming chinny opponents. That **** wont work on Holloway. He has very good speed and power, but against an elite boxer like Max, I don't see him winning anything after round 2

If there is 1 guy who I'd bet my ass of to chin Max Holloway is Justin Gaethje. I said it multiple times that the guy has some freakass power that on Gaethje's best day would even decimate Khabib. But we all know that by that point in time Max won't move up because the power lvl of his isn't enough for Lightweight

I want Holloway to win but i have the feeling he will lose by UD.
As for Allen, he has been around 8 years in the UFC with no loses and still no title shot. A win here would solidify such a shot.

Holloway is only 31, I can't believe that. I remember him debuting short notice vs. Dustin Poirier. He's taken a lot of damage, but he did take a pretty savage beating from Volk in the last fight which is not good but I don't think his chin is in danger yet.
Has Max ever been dropped in a fight? My memory is ****.

Nope, not officially. If the fence didn't save him he would have been dropped against Poirier

This is an underrated matchup IMO. Aaron’s UFC tenure looks pitiful on a surface level but the guy is actually a pretty entertaining and fairly interesting kickboxing/taekwondo specialist, who has a legitimate striking resume as well. Also, unlike Gaston, Aaron can grapple. He’s not exceptionally good at it, but he can roll. Gaston meanwhile has the more far more impressive striking accolades, but is significantly less experienced in MMA. This fight should be exciting, if not one of the best fights on the card.
…or they could cancel each other out and just cage **** each other for three rounds. Always an option.

Not that I disagree with the assessment, but I’d like to point out two out of Gaston’s six MMA victories are against Divers (Abner Perez, Rick Gutierrez)

Holloway vs. Allen
Max Holloway, DEC
Very interesting main event. For once, 5 rounds is perfectly apropriate here, I'm sick of UFC fight cards headlined by Light Heavyweights top 10 !!!
Royval vs. Nicolau
Matheus Nicolau, DEC
Dope fight
Bolaños vs. Phillips
Gaston Bolaños, TKO, R3
Not sure why exactly Gaston Bolanos got signed by the UFC on a one fight winning streak (2-1 on his last 3), but regardless I'm glad because he's a bunch of fun to watch. I discovered him on a Joe Rogan podcast, very cool and intelligent dude, with exciting fighting skills. Hope he can have a career in the UFC.
Guida vs. García
Rafa García, DEC
Ed Herman and Caly Guida are so ancient as UFC fighters, and still winning some fights, it's crazy. Both vintage 2006 !!!
Herman vs. Cummings
Zak Cummings, DEC
When I began to watch MMA (around 2010) Ed Herman was already an old UFC vet lol, and it seems he stopped aging, not getting better but not getting worse either, still a decent but not great fighter who is never fun to watch but not too boring either... Maybe when I will stop watching the UFC in some decades he will still be there, winning one and losing two without making any noise. In a weird way, his longevity as a decent but not great fighter in the best org in the world is impressive as hell. Quite legendary in fact.
Cutelaba vs. Boser
Ion Cutelaba, TKO, R1
I can't help but love Cutelaba despite him proving to be a very mediocre fighter. He's just the definition of a gladiator and he would probably be a war king in some dark medieval ages. Nowaday, he's just a 16 - 9 fighter with zero fight IQ whatsoever and a deterioring chin. Rooting for him every time tho (and this is a winnable fight for him, again lol).

@sabbath yeah the comp is bad, but the big difference to me is how Gaston is winning. Sure, he’s fighting absolute bums, but he’s beating them exactly how he’s supposed to be beating them; violently and with relative ease. Now, the glaring hole in his game is the tdd, but luckily he’s fighting another striker who arguably has even worse takedown defense. The loss to Daniel Carey is very concerning, but at least he got that one back. And finally I thought bolanos actually beat solo Harley; he lost the fight because he got outgrappled, but he did so much damage. Hatley collapsed after the fight due to damage and exhaustion and had to be carted out. In post fight medicals, it was revealed hatley suffered a broken jaw, a broken orbital, and a broken ankle from kicks. So take from that what you will

Bolaños vs. Phillips
Gaston Bolaños, TKO, R2
What a weird ass signing. Bolanos is an accomplished Muay Thai practitioner. He spent his whole 9 fight career in Bellator as a knockout artist. He could suck but I think Aaron Phillips is gonna get embarrassed on the feet

Are they just going to give Gaston the Alex Perreria treatment and kept giving him striker that either can't wrestle offensively well or wont do it, I don't know if it will work as well at batamweight compare to middleweight, I think it get expose at some point
