Sandhagen - high strike variance, 5’11, cardio for the full five no doubt, proficient in either stance. TJ’s path to victory is land a TD early, then feign the attempts and get in close with inside combos. Then alternate between takedown and striking. The height discrepancy is too large to ignore, I can see a lot of shots deflected by Sandhagen’s shoulders and just generally being out of range.  For TJ to win, he needs the perfect night.

I like Allen/soriano NTGTD, and a straight up bet on Minner and Maverick. I think this parlay hits.

For dogs, I like Imavov - put up quite a fight against hawes and for a up and comer, you would hope he learnt from that loss. Heinisch is gonna bring what he always brings - an old dog without new tricks. At least he’s got a chin.

Jesus Christ @Damien got 7 downvotes for virtually no reason. I think if you pick straight across the board on favorites the average is just above 60%. I’m not sure if he was entirely accurate about last fight as I remember that being a dog heavy card, but the card before it was entirely favorites. Nothing about what he said was really wrong lmfao.

About Imavov, maybe I gave the wrong impression (or maybe you were talking about other comments), but I don’t have any strong feelings about Imavov. But I do have strong feelings about the matchup. Very rarely do we see a rebooking of green talent against a better version of the fighter they just lost to. It’s like if you took Ige after losing to Kattat and gave him to Holloway, it would be the easiest pick of my life even though I know Ige is a great fighter.

The only thing Heinisch is better at is cardio, Hawes has better striking and their grappling is even.

I would have never thought that Heinisch vs Imamov would be the most talked about fight on this whole card all week.

I settled on the Maycee Barber vs. Miranda Maverick I really want to beat Barber. Maverick is very boring. Who has any thoughts on this fight?

I really loved the Phil Hawes that came out against Daukaus, and anybody who says Phil Hawes has improved a lot has every right to make that claim. But I’m specifically referencing the Phil Hawes that showed up against Imavov since we’re talking about Imavov fighting. And even if you’re really high on Hawes, you can’t deny that the looked terrible that night after the first round. Go watch Heinisch vs Gastelum and Hawes vs Imavov back to back and tell me that would pick that Hawes to beat that Heinisch. Maybe you would, and I’d love to hear the case for it actually cause I’m always down for a good dog pick.

Imavov dealt with hawes clinches easily until imavov gassed out in 3rd round

I'm just saying in this fight tomorrow I think imavov will surprise a lot of people that's all that's if he doesn't gas out again

Hawes grappling was better v daukaus than imavov id say because imavov is stronger and defended it better

Imavov durable

Lmfao, @Erison and @HiDefff. I think Tapology is a pretty recognized site, I bet if @Greg created a Tapology voted fight of the night medal for fighters pages it would get a good amount of traction and engage the fans. Even build up hype for the fight.

Does anyone else think TJ's cut might open up, the scar looked pretty bad in his interview. He said himself that it was a huge cut and it's right on his eyebrow.

Elkins definitely seems like a good underdog pick, I honestly feel like the only thing that keep him from winning this matchup is father time which we know is approaching sooner than later

Prediction Comments

Sandhagen vs. Dillashaw
Cory Sandhagen, TKO, R3
Everyone wants to know how TJ is gonna look in his return, he's been gone for 2 and a half years and now he's 35 too, in a division where being a 35 year old is very very difficult too. Sandhagen is in his prime right now and he can give TJ lots of problems when it comes to his height and length. The kicks of Sandhagen will be a big factor, he's so much taller than TJ so he can utilise those kicks so well. However, the big part of this fight is going to be how well can TJ wrestle, Sandhagen's TDD is not good, but, he does a good job getting back to his feet, his scrambling ability does make up for his terrible TDD. I think Cory will make it difficult for TJ to time these takedowns and on the feet I really do think Cory is a better striker, now TJ is older and hasn't been active I do think he'll have a hard time on the feet and I see Cory landing a head kick eventually and hurting TJ

Sandhagen vs. Dillashaw
Sandhagen
You don't get better at something by not doing it.

Phillips vs. Paiva
Phillips
I think this fight will be close but Phillips probably gets a late finish.

Minner vs. Elkins
Minner
I think Minner probably gets another decision here but Elkins is a tough night at the office. I wouldn't bet on this fight.

Barber vs. Maverick
Maverick
Another close fight. Maverick is more well rounded but Barber shouldn't be slept on.

Yanez vs. Costa
Yanez
Banger. Yanez has crazy good boxing. Costa probably taking a nap in this one.

Soriano vs. Allen
Allen
Experience. I don't think Puna can hang with Allen long on the ground. Very unlikely this fight goes the distance.

Heinisch vs. Imavov
Heinisch
Another close fight that I see ending with a late finish. Imavov was done 0 favors with this matchmaking but is definitely a live dog. I think experience ultimately wins out here.

Gall vs. Williams
Gall
If Williams doesn't get an early KO I think Gall grinds out a fairly boring win here. Two borderline UFC caliber talents.

Arce vs. Ewell
Arce
Very close skill wise but I think Arce probably gets the decision here. Ewell will need to utilize all of his reach in this fight and chip away at Arce if he wants to win.

Eubanks vs. Reed
Eubanks
Experience. Eubanks is due for a finish IMO.

Belbita vs. Goldy
Belbita
Not super impressed by either fighter. Going with reach and experience here.
