This fight will probably suck if it doesn't end in the first 1:30 seconds. I didn't realize until just now that Asker wasn't actually from South Africa and just fights for EFC. That possibly gives him a better chance but will still go with Smolyakov just in case.

I honestly don't get the whole confidence in Smolyakov to win this fight. I mean, yeah Asker fought in EFC, but at least he's fought some decent competition in his career. Smolyakov is a can crusher that hasn't been tested much outside of the UFC other of his fight with Grebenets. And even then, Grebenets is an average talent Heavyweight who doesn't get tested much either.

The EFC deserves ****, the talent pool, the trainers and the training in Africa is nowhere near the rest of Earth. From what I've seen of them, it's kinda Smolyakov's fight to lose. He hits harder, he's a bigger HW, he can wrestle, his defense is better. Comes down to who gasses or get blasted first. I think Asker's bad defense and **** grappling will bode well for Smolyakov.

@MikeyG Asker is a lot better than some of the guys who have come out of EFC, though this fight is still a pick em'. They've got way more interesting guys in that promotion though, so idk why the UFC insists on signing guys like McLellan, Asker, and Potts...
