UPDATED AT 6:55 PM ET: AXS TV's Ron Kruck reports that Gastelum won't make weight for the Woodley fight and will be fined 20% of his purse.


this fight is starting to look like the first loss for Gastelum. I'm still going with him because I'm a big fan, but ****, doesn't look good.

If the fight's on I'm most likely switching to Woodley... you can sneak by Rick Story after a bad cut, Woodley I think might be too much of a hump for a dude not at his optimal physical condition.

I was going back and fourth on this fight all week. After hearing about the terrible weight cut/Flu symptoms I can't see anyone picking Kelvin. Even if the bad Woodley turns up I still think he can win now.

Not to be a ****, but the flu doesn't cause vomiting. Maybe Kelvin had a stomach bug, but the flu is respiratory.

Kelvin Gastelum including today has missed weight several times which kind of causes a dispute on if he fought at 170 in EVERY fight if he'd still be unbeaten. I've got Kelvin winning this one with a decision or perhaps another impressive submission win like his last fight with Jake Ellenberger, but will be somewhat rooting for Tyron Woodley to stay on the winning track with his KO power and after his impressive victory over "Stun Gun".

Switching my pick to Woodley after hearing Gastelum couldn't make weight and had to be taken to the hospital for dehydration and flu like symptoms. Somebody should step in and prevent him from fighting to be honest.

Was really rooting for Gastelum and legitimately thought he'd beat Woodley easily, but there's no way you miss weight by that much and still perform.

The flu can cause vomiting or diarrhea. Not everyone has the same symptoms. It sucks because he really belongs at 170, you can tell by how out of shape he looks weighing in at 180. Apparently on Thursday he gave a sherdog interview saying how great he was at cutting weight, lol.

I think the problem with Gastelum is that he doesn't watch his weight between fights, he bulks up A LOT, then he has trouble cutting weight, if he get his **** together, he should't have problems cutting weight and he would probably feel and perform better.

Gastelum blows up between fights and leaves the cut to the last minute.

I'm not buying the flu thing, I think those symptoms were caused by the aggressive cut, he didn't look like he had any issues on the embedded videos, suddenly he's been down with the flu throughout fight week? Maybe I'd have bought it if he always made weight and this happened. I think he saw he wasn't going to make it and his body was crashing so he built a cover story.

Neither him nor Lineker are huge for their divisions, them constantly missing weight is a dedication and discipline issue not a "wrong weight class" issue.

Both are going to eventually be undersized at their new respective weight classes.
