If he thinks he can start every UFC fight guns-a-blazin' he'll be just like Silva ... there are some pretty durable dudes in the UFC who don';t get finished that fast ... I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now, maybe attribute it to him wanting to make an impression in front of his hometown crowd :)

Jouban's body striking is fantastic. 29-28 Alves on my card, 29-28 Jouban wouldn't be a bad decision though. Very close, depends on the scoring of the 2nd.

29-28 Jouban, please! 

He deserves it, loved the grit after almost getting finished in the first.

Alves on the other hand, looked completely gassed in the third, and wasn't showing a lot of heart IMO.

This is a perfect example of why MMA fights should be 5 3 minute rounds instead of 3 five minute rounds. Over the course of 5 rounds albeit the same in cage time. Journal would have won more rounds.

Yall *****s saying Alves is terrible/weak might be a little bit cynical. He blew his wad hard one minute into the fight against a tough as nails opponent and still arguably held on to win a decision.
