What are everyone's thoughts on Wanderlei wanting to face Chris Leben instead of Vitor? Do you think he knows Vitor is a batch fight for him, or is it just a smarter move given that he has been so inactive as of late?

Wandy stated in an interview that he wanted one more fight before he steps up like that do to his layoff.  I think he knows he isn't quite ready for someone like Vitor due to his layoff.  I'd say its more of Wandy wanting to be prepared than ducking... but this re-match will come up again.  Lets see if they both win their next fights if it comes to fruition.  We'll know then.  Wandy vs. Vitor on the Year End card?  Sounds good to me.

I think it's a matter of getting a fight in after his long layoff..Leben's no walk through for Silva however but i'm pulling for him because a fight vs Vitor would be fantastic

I don't think he's ducking him he probably just wants to fight Leben rather than Belfort.

I thought Dana said in an interview that he gave Wand a fight against Leben because Wand said he would fight Vitor.

KallousKlown is right, Wandy did agree to fight Vitor, so I definitely wouldn't say he ducked Vitor. I think (as Kalibo said) he wanted a kind-of tune up fight before Vitor, which makes since, because he's been out of action since 110. I think saying Wandy ducked vitor can't be true, Wandy is a guy who fought Cro Cop, Hunt and Yvel (in their primes), all big, dangerous heavyweights.

Honestly, I can't imagine Silva ducking anyone.

@Havok I'm with you...I doubt Wandy even knows what ducking someone means!

Wandy didn't duck anybody. He thought Leben was a better fight at the time, Dana agreed. Pretty much sums it up.
