Wallid Ismail is one of the only fighters to successfully transition into fight promotion with the success of his promotion Jungle Fight. Ismail competed in MMA from 1991-2002 going 9-3 with some fights in PRIDE & the UFC. What Ismail is most known for is his submission win over Royce Gracie in 1998 where he caught Royce in a clock choke, choking him unconscious. He also holds a win over Renzo Gracie via Points in 1993. Ismail has had problems with other Gracie's including Ryan Gracie who in an attempt to jump Ismail, ended up getting choked unconscious by the 1st Degree BJJ Blackbelt.
