Assuério Silva Wiki

A Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt fighting out of Curitiba, Brazil, Assuerio Silva was once among the best heavyweights in the world. He earned first-round wins over Valentijn Overeem and Yoshihisa Yamamoto in Pride before taking out Fabiano Scherner and Alessio Sakara in the Jungle Fight promotion. Unfortunately for him, Silva suffered back-to-back losses in the UFC in 2006. He was involved in a high profile upset loss to rising UFC star Todd Duffee in 2008.
