Jesse Elliott Wiki

Jesse Elliott is an amateur fighter from the Kansas City, Missouri area with an MMA record of 3-0 and a kickboxing record of 1-0. He trains at Glory MMA and Fitness (formerly known as Grindhouse MMA) in Lee's Summit, MO. He began training in MMA in May 2011, but has taken long breaks in training, which is the reason for the low number of bouts on his record.
Besides his MMA training, he also trained in Okinawan Goju-Ryu Karate for a little over a year under Sensei Aaron Locke at Locke's Karate Academy in Belton, MO between 2007-2008. He also trained BJJ very briefly at (now defunct) Ground Control KC in 2009.
Jesse was born in Lee's Summit, MO on January 5 1983 and grew up in Peculiar, MO after moving there from the South Kansas City neighborhood of Ruskin in 1988.
He is currently a white belt with 3 stripes in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
He has stated current year goals of  A. having 2 or 3 more MMA bouts this year, and winning 1 or 2 of them.  B. Earning his blue belt in BJJ.
In the long term he would like to win an amateur belt, and possibly go pro in the future, although he is unsure if the likelihood of a professional career due to his advanced age for a novice athlete (31). He would also like to some day teach martial arts.
His next scheduled bout is on August 16, 2014 vs. Nick Cruse (1-0) in Grandview, MO. This will be his first fight at featherweight (all previous bouts were at lightweight). He is also entered to compete in Kansas City Grappling Alliance's inaugrual tournament on June 28, 2014 in gi and no gi divisions. This will be his first grappling tournament.
