Mark Holbrook Is from Potomac Md where he started wrestling at the age of 8. He quickly took to the sport and at 46 is still on the mat. He is a decorated wrestler and as a youth finished many tournaments in 1st place. In junior high school he was the IAC champion at Bullis Prep and then moved into the beltway league of Washington DC and its suburbs. Winning the state title there set the road for high school where he made quick work of his opponents and Won the Maryland State Chamoionship in 1984. Div 1 Clarion university quickly recruited Mark and he had a respectable 9-9 freshman year. After a back injury Holbrook sat out and was unable to return. Leaving Clarion and eventually joining the USMC, Mark Holbrook was afforded orders to the All Marine team under Gsgt Williams, and Team leader Greg Gibson. Unfortunately military duties came first and was unable continue with the team. From 1989 to present Holbrook has been coaching at the youth and high school levels.
