Does anyone think it's possible to come back from those two knockouts? Firstly the headkick did not flatline him which was amazing, the few extra punches pretty much separated him from consciousness but not a flatline KO. It seemed as if as soon as Ilia touched him he didn't just get rocked and try and fight back, and was a clear KO with the follow up punches.
I don't think he'll come back the same, some fighters come back from horrific knockouts, Michael Bisping for instance, Aljo Sterling, even JDS after the horrific attack Cain put on him in the 2nd and 3rd fight went on a run shortly after. It's gonna be interesting, he's one of the best.
Sometimes. The damage on the brain is different. Giving his age and brutality of the knockouts, I would say no. Just my opinion from seeing alot of fighters go through this exact thing over the years.
People cheer when fighters have slugfest and wars, but they take a piece of that fighter each time away from their career. Volk got some pieces taken away. Possible he comes back better, very highly unlikely given the circumstances.

That is easily one of the best moments and best rounds in a fight ever, Ortega has a knack for finishing fights in the 3rd round and he got him in two of his best moves, and then Volk comes down and just start reigning down punches after getting out of the triangle.
Saw that one live..on PPV was screaming obscenities, and of course that weird Herb Dean non TKO. Great fight though Volk has given us a number of classics from that wild slinger with Chad Mendes. The trilogy with Holloway, domination of slightly washed Korean Zombie, I enjoyed the Yair one but not a classic per se.

I was blessed to be in the arena for volk vs ortega and it was so loud when Volk pulled his head out of that guillotine I had tinnitus for a month or so after

Pictures like that with one guy in a full Gi and the other with one boxing glove really make you appreciate just how far we've come since the early days of MMA! R.I.P to one of the pioneers of the sport.

As a fan of Marlon Vera, Aldo would likely beat Chito again. His defense is just too tight and consistent for Marlon to get anything going, especially since he never finished that ‘skip round one’ issue. Aldo’s hard matchups are against guys who can bring the war to him, since two of Aldo’s shortcomings is his volume and his cardio.

I always expected it to be entertaining. It's just very easy for me to do what I consider the right thing, which I shall never crusade for here or anywhere else, and not watch it. I don't have time to watch more than MMA anyway, I feel pressed for time to watch the bimonthly sumo bashos and I love sumo.

Hollywood’s reliance on superhero films really did **** up everything for public movie theaters. There’s literally no reason to go to a movie theater anymore. Nobody aside from diehards, children and people with a lot of time but no idea how to use it go to movie theaters anymore. It’s not even a good idea to take a date to a theater, cause the whole point is to quietly watch it and make subtle moves on each other, then discuss the film afterwards. What the **** is there to discuss about “Transmorphers 7: Auto****s, Pullout!”? ******* nothing.
What happened to the variety? No rom-coms, no raunchy comedies, no thrillers, BARELY any horror movies (and most of them are dog****), no musicals, no martial arts movies…nothing can be a ‘genre’ anymore, it’s all just blended together in a pseudo-action/romance/comedy/*******whatever, just like triple AAA gaming has devolved into. Oh, and it’s twelve bucks a ticket? **** Hollywood, the **** that comes out of your mouths would clog my toilet.
