Makwan Amirkhani Wiki

Makwan Amirkhani was born in Iraq, however he is an Iranian Kurd. Makwan's family fled to Finland from Iraq in 1993. His father died in a car accident a year after moving to Finland. His mother was left alone with eight children. Later on one of Makwan's brothers also died hit by a car. 


Makwan Amirkhani began training wrestling at 5 years old, soon after he was moved to Finland. He started training MMA at Finnfighters' Gym in Turku 2008.
