Egzon Maliqaj is a Swiss boxer with Kosovar roots. On September 03, 1991 Egzon was born as the first child of Regje and Kumrije Maliqaj in Suhareka in Kosovo. When he was 3 years old he migrated with his family to Switzerland. Where he started martial arts at the age of 9. He competed in over 150 Sandabox and Kickbox competitions before switching to Olympic boxing at the age of 16. In Olympic boxing he competed in over 130 amateur fights, won 8 national titles in Switzerland, was a long time member of the Swiss national team. He represented Switzerland in international tournaments. He won several medals in international tournaments. His biggest amateur success was the bronze medal at the University World Championship 2016 in Chaing Mai Thailand. In 2018 Egzon made his professional debut in Uster (Switzerland). To date he has competed in 11 professional fights and is undefeated in 11 professional fights. He is aiming for his first professional title at the end of 2022.
