Former UFC/Bellator vet Albert Morales on the card

LFA just posted that he'll be on the card, Opponent TBD.

Currently on a 3 fight winning streak, all R1 KOs. Also 5-1 over his last 6, the 1 loss is to Javier Torres.

Wild seeing Bevon back, assumed he retired after he lost to Nunes and didn't get into PFL. He did good against Marcelo before getting overconfident on the mat and reversed, imo Ozzy is a massive step down from the guys he's lost to, yes even compared to Stewart, so I wouldn't be surprised if he bounced back here.

Still crazy how Bevon got rushed into fighting Uriah, seeing how Contender Series guys nowadays get a slower road up the ladder.

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 9 of 9 Pending   |   Tied for 1st with 536 others

Diaz vs. Lewis
Bevon Lewis, TKO, R2
Very tough main event to call. I really don’t think Diaz is good at all. He’s built like a bag of milk and not very good anywhere. His 205 debut was not good, he got taken down & controlled with ease before Campbells glass jaw failed him. Bevon is really bad. His ufc career was just embarassing, he had some success against hall but after that just showed up for paychecks. Then he came out of nowhere against Marcelo nunes and actually looked good before getting subbed. I want to say he mixes in wrestling and beats diaz, but I also can’t trust Bevon to put a clean 15 minutes together. I lowkey think Lewis wins but I am not confident at all

Morales vs. Begosso
Albert Morales, TKO, R1
I kind of like morales for the upset here. I used to rate Begosso but after dwcs he has not looked good at all. He is very explosive, but that same explosiveness also leads him to be very low volume and not do much. He can’t wrestle well and will also pull guillotine which I don’t like either. Morales has a really ugly record, but he has only lost to really good fighters for the most part. I think he will use his experience to beat the limited Begosso. Could see Begosso catching him with something tho

Lebosnoyani vs. Kuiks
Jean-Paul Lebosnoyani, SUB, R2
Idk how to feel about JP at 170. I like him a lot but he is kind of small for the weight class. It also doesn’t help that kuiks is a big boy. That being said, kuiks is pretty bad. He has been can crushing in Mexico and lost to an 0-3 guy. JP fights like a budget Ortega (they train together), meaning he has crazy bjj, bad wrestling, and bad striking defense (but forces a war every fight). Losing the way he did against Jacobi jones was pretty concerning (Great war tho) but jones doesn’t fight anything like kuiks so JP should be fine. Seems like a winner to dwcs type of fight

Douglas vs. Ghareeb
Nathan Ghareeb, TKO, R3
Ghareeb has done what I wish all MA prospects would do, leave the state to train. You can still fight in MA (although the comp is bad), but you will never improve fighting cans there. Ghareeb has been at ATT for a while and has looked much better. I know he got offered a TUF spot but didn’t make it past the tryouts, so I imagine

Davis vs. Kealohi
Cody Davis, DEC
Kealohi is better than his record shows but he will lose this. Davis is a solid prospect, idk if he is ufc level but he is one of the better regional flyweights

Nakatani vs. Gomes
Gabriel Gomes, SUB, R2
I haven’t heard of Gomes prior to this so I probably have to look into this. I am aware of of nakatani but he didn’t look great against Eimar. He has only fought cans since then so not sure what to think

Gibson vs. Reyes Rugeles
Chase Gibson, SUB, R3
Interesting matchup but I think Gibson wins. He is not great but has some good experience, I don’t just the guy fighting in Colombia

Francischinelli vs. Sun
Luis Francischinelli, TKO, R1
This won’t tell us much about Luis, but the experience is good. I think this guy is a really good prospect. Besides absurd size, he is also a really good kickboxer. I also found out he trains with Josh Barnett, so hopefully his grappling is good as well. If he is able to defend takedowns, he could be a serious problem

Woodley vs. Oiyemhonlan
Oseyiomon Oiyemhonlan, TKO, R2
Oiyemhonlan is way better than his record shows. He was winning his last fight and made one mistake. This other guy is 3-0 but doesn’t seem very impressive

Piccolo vs. Mauldin
Taylor Mauldin, DEC
Mauldin should win but very quick turnaround considering she got annihilated just 3 months ago. Watch that ko if you haven’t, one of the worst you will see

Oiyemhonlan getting the finish on a pure wrestler, Davis wins more often then not but -400 is disgusting when you’re tiny and have a somewhat sus chin.

Francischinelli vs. Sun
Luis Francischinelli, TKO, R1
Luis is going to the UFC, only a few more spectacular wins and they'll sign him.

Piccolo vs. Mauldin
Taylor Mauldin, DEC
I expect Mauldin to win but I wish she took a few more months off after that brutal KO loss in her last fight. Hopefully she gets early takedowns in the round(s) and doesn't absorb too many strikes in this one, but her opponent is no slouch and may keep it standing for a lot of the contest.

Diaz is the older fighter but seems to be the fighter on his way up, while Lewis is on his way down
